The 48-hour pipeline: fly at T+0, process in-house through T+36, deliver engineering-ready files at T+48

Skyflex is a drone services company that exists to put engineering-grade data in your hands without sending your crew somewhere they shouldn’t have to go. Aerial and ground-based capture, survey-grade sensors, deliverables your software can use the day they land: that’s the whole proposition. Nothing about that statement requires us to be the biggest, or the oldest, or the loudest drone firm in the country. It just requires that the work we ship be defensible.

How we work

We operate as a focused service company, not a platform vendor. Every engagement starts with a scoping call where we ask three questions: What do you need captured? What deliverable format does your software actually expect? What date does it have to be in your hands? Then we quote against those three answers. No subscription mystery, no asterisks at the bottom of the invoice.

  • Scope before mobilization. Every project gets a written scope: sensor mix, deliverable formats, accuracy class, schedule, and price: before we leave the office. If your team needs to align with an engineer of record or an integrity manager, we coordinate with them at scoping, not after the flight.
  • Survey-grade hardware, honest about its limits. The sensors we fly are professional-class. They’re also not magic. We say so when LiDAR is overkill for the job, when photogrammetry is the wrong tool for a vegetated stand, when a confined-space drone shouldn’t be flown into a flammable atmosphere because the platform isn’t certified for it. The right tool, scoped to what your project actually needs.
  • Deliverables in the format your team uses. Point clouds in .LAS/.LAZ. Orthos in GeoTIFF. Thermal in radiometric formats keyed to your asset IDs. CAD exports in DWG/DXF. BIM-ready exports in IFC or RVT-compatible. We confirm the destination software during scoping so the deliverable drops straight in.
  • One point of contact. Every account has one person from our team accountable for the engagement: scoping, flight scheduling, deliverable QC, and any post-delivery questions all route through them. No handoff confusion, no “let me get someone who knows about that” calls.

The discipline behind the work

Drone services are easy to start and hard to do well. The market is full of operators who can fly a quadcopter and produce a deliverable that looks impressive but doesn’t survive a serious engineering review. Skyflex’s discipline is built around the opposite premise:

  • Accuracy is reported, not claimed. Every project’s deliverable includes an accuracy report tied to ground control. We don’t quote a generic vertical-accuracy number on our marketing material because the achievable number depends on your specific site: we report what we actually hit on your project, with the residuals.
  • Regulatory alignment up front. FAA Part 107 governs the flight. NERC FAC-003 governs how transmission utilities use the deliverable. PHMSA governs pipeline documentation expectations. OSHA confined-space rules govern the space we fly inside. We align with whichever applies to your work at scoping: not after we’ve sent you a file that doesn’t fit your compliance program.
  • No overpromise on hardware. If the platform we operate isn’t intrinsically-safe certified, we don’t fly it into a flammable atmosphere. If LiDAR is the right tool but the job needs sub-centimeter terrestrial scanning that handheld SLAM can’t deliver, we tell you so. Honest scope beats lost trust.
  • Inspector and engineer stay in the loop. Drone capture supplements judgment-driven work like bridge inspections (NBIS) and electrical-system condition assessments: it doesn’t replace the qualified inspector or engineer who owns the rating. We position our deliverable as the visual layer they build on, not the call they make.

Where we work

Skyflex is headquartered in Brookhaven, Mississippi. We operate nationwide: sites in the Gulf states and across the country alike. Mobilization is part of every quote; we tell you upfront what travel adds to a project. For owners with portfolios across multiple sites or states, we structure programs that amortize mobilization across the schedule.

The services we offer

Every Skyflex capability has its own page so you can read the actual scope, deliverables, and pricing pattern before you scope a quote. The full list lives on our services hub:

Work with a crew that treats data like evidence.

Tell us what you need to measure, inspect, or prove — we’ll scope it honestly.
